Right this weapon what can I say you STAB STAB STAB with when either a) your out of ammo b) your stoopid or c) you did it for the sheer fun of knifing some one :).
Well all the tactics really for this weapon are you can set it to your quick key [default quick key is Q] so when you run out of ammo just wipe it out and start stabing. There are two mods for the knife now, the primary attack is a quick stab that inflicts low amounts of damage but can be reapeated quickly, the secondary stab is a hard deep stab that is slow and inflicts high ammounts of damage. Each stab is more usfull in different situations
Example
If I were to attack a sniper I would use the secondary attack due to the high amount of damage [because the snipers slow ROF shouldnt prove to be difficult to doge]. But if you were attacking some one armed with pritty much any other weapon then you should us the primary stab as this will put their aim off and alow you a bit more time.
In the end I wouldnt recomend using your kinfe but if its all you got go with it. Read my how to doge snipers section here so you can doge those damn people with guns :).

The USP is the CT's starting weapon and if you watch the first round of a game you will notice that a few terrorist will drop their Glock to obtain one of these. The reason for that is the accurace and damage is far superior to the Glock, this gun is extremly accurate standing still and moderatly accurate when moving.
When using this gun try to avoid getting "stuck" in as the slow rate of fire [compared to the Glock] will be your down fall. The best tactic in using this gun is try to remain at a distance as your oponants will have to get in close to use their weapon effectivly, aim for the head, if you hit the head then aim for the chest and one to two more shots should finish them up. The reason you aim for the head for the first shot is that it will inflict high damage and the shot will knock their aim off and slow them down, so then aim for the body as there is a much higher chance of hitting them in this region. This weapon can be use very effectily with a primary weapon e.g. Your MP5 runs out of ammo, press Q and your trust USP comes out to finish them up.
This gun is best at long range where its accuracy will help you out a great deal in hitting them T's charging at you. So remember with this gun try to reamain a fair distance from your target and buy some extra ammo.

This is the t's starting pistol and many people are divided about this pistol, some think its utter crap others think its a good close range weapon. Im one of the people who feel this weapon is a good close range weapon due to the burst mode on the pistol. In my opinion the burst mode is the saving grace for this pistol and is the only reason I dont buy a Desert eagle. The burst mode can be activated by using your secondary fire button [default is right mouse button].
Long range
Right for accuracy this gun isnt ya man, but it makes up for the loss of accuracy by its quick fire rate! The burst fire mode can be useful for shooting long range as the three shot burst can give you a bit more of a chance but I usualy use this option for medium range which ill talk about later. But at long range I suggest using single fire and crouching as this is the only hope in hell you will have hitting anything :-).
Medium range
At medium range I usualy use the burst fire option and aim at chest hight as the shots ride up and usualy get ya a head shot no problem :-). Another way is using a combo of burst's and single fire for accuracy and head shots.
Short range
Some people find burst mode usefull at close range but for me it seems too slow so I just button bash till I see the dude hit the floor. Always aim for the head I cant tell you how important it is to aim for the head as your gonna take that guy down much quicker that way. I would suggest using the burst fire mode for head shots though as the power can nearly kill someone with one burst :-).
Your either gonna love this gun or loath it but I suggest you give it a try but if not then always buy a Desert Eagle :-)!

This has to be the Daddy when it comes to the pistols. The .50 caliber rounds just shred the enemy into lill pices :). Although this is a good weapon its not my favourite mine is the P228 but thats enough about me lets talk about this weapon.
This is the perfect weapon to buy in the first round as it will give you that added advantage over people who stick with the Glock and USP. It is also affordable at only $650 you can afford this weapon and full ammo in the first round.
There isnt much you can say about this weapon except it is a highly effective secondary weapon and a great back up weapon for those snipers [but I think the SIG P228 is better] when people get a bit too close for comfort. The best place to aim with this weapon as with most weapons is the head and your sure to kill them outright but if you dont then a quick tap any where else on the body is gonna take em down. The small magazine lets this weapon down as you can quite easily miss if your target is straffing and jumping.

This weapon is my faveourite pistol at the moment due to its high ROF and its fairly good accuracy and damage. This weapon is much like the desert eagle in the fact that it is powerfull and just a beefy weapon :).
This weapon should be fired like a normal pistol but be sparing when shooting it rapidly its accurace tends to veer off quite a bit. This is the perfect back up weapon for snipers so all you snipers get one and have it set to your Quick key [default q key].
Always aim for the head with this weapon as the high ROF and power will make it that much more deadly if you hit them in the head. Try sniping targets by crouching and aiming for the head, dont try and snipe a sniper though it could end up messy :).
Just follow the desert eagle tactics for this baby and you should be set to kick some ass.

The benilie M3 is the cheaper of the two shot-guns but by no means is it the worst. This gun is one of the most powerfull weapons in the game, at close range this thing is leathal. If you can get close enought to use this gun you can own a map. The weapon fire rate is a bit slow but you "got the power" to make up for that.
Close range
with this weapon is were it comes into its own. With it's spread helping you out your bound to hit your target unless you are at extreme close range e.g. 1-2 meters, if this is the case I suggest aiming direct for the torso as this is the largest target area and your gonna kill em out right at this range. This weapon is extremely useful when attacking multiple targets as the large spread will help you damage as much and as many of your opponents as you can. If your gonna attack multiple targets I would suggest trying to get in as close as possible as your more likely to do a lot of damage at a closer range, try to avoid getting into medium/long range firefights with enemys equiped with MP5's or other rifles.
Sniping?
Dont jump out of your chair screaming at the screen "What is this nut talking about!!!!". What I mean by sniping is that this weapon is very effective at slowing targets down, so this can be used with a team mate equipped with a Sniper rifle of sorts (AWM, G3). Try to stay close with the sniper as you will be able to help him out when enemy's get a bit too close, also this will allow you to "roughly" see what target the sniper is aiming for, then as the target is running shoot slightly in front of him, the spread should hit him at least once slowing him down greatly, and then the sniper has the perfect opportunity to take him down. Believe me this tactics is extremely useful if done correctly.

This is the more expensive of the two shot-gun's but is worth the extra dosh [money] :). The faster fire rate and reload rate make this gun the mean machine it is. At close range there is no other gun to compare this too. With the spread and fast fire rate and high damage at close range your opponent has no chance.
Close range
Now this is where this gun is the best and will really make that $3000 go all the way. The only real tactic for this weapon is
LET RIP
! All you really need to do is get in close and just let the gun do the work for you. Considering this weapon is a fully auto shot-gun it dosnt have much recoil and is easy to aim. I recomend aiming for the legs as there isnt any armour here and the shot tends to spread wide with the mojority of shots being sent upwards. You have to watch your ammo if your gonna charge a group of enemys. Make sure the weapon is fully loaded and that you have a backup weapon on your quick key [default quick key is Q] so that when that shot-gun is out you can finish em off if there is any left :).

Okay long range with this weapon is a bit
impossible
, its so hard due to the spread of this gun being so wide. But this weapon can be used for helping a sniper I covered this technique in the benilie M3 so check that out for some extra help.

I believe this is the most versatile weapon in all of CS, you can perform well in close quarter combat, as well as in longe range shooting, providing you have the skills for it.
Close range
In CQB however all bets are off, and I usually go with full auto, just simply aim for the head and try to get in as many headshots you can before retreating behind cover to reload and let your teammate (if any) finish him off, otherwise, just pop out, spray your bullets, dive into cover and reload, repeat until he dies, or you get blown away :)
long-medium range
Require more controlled firing, with beta 6.5+ it's more benefitial to fire bursts rather than single shots, so a three shot burst should do the trick (in my experiance), just try to hit him, and then repeat this manouver over and over again, while strafing, and jumping/ducking in between, because of the long range it's usually VERY hard to hit the head, so try to hit the torso instead. Some people (not me included) like to use a pistol/mp5 combo, meaning that you for instance have the glock (because of the "halting" ability this gun posesses) and firstly fire a few rounds at the enemy to make him "halt" in mid-air, and then promptly switch to the smg of your choice (in this case the mp5) and finish him off, while he's still "in pain" and can barely move.

This weapon is higly underated in the SMG world. This weapons high fire rate make it extremly effective and makes up for the low amount of damage it inflicts. The cheapness of this weapon also helps it out a great deal when buying weapons at the start of a game.
To get the most of this weapon you need to fire it in much the same way as the MP5 Navy as these two weapons are very similar in the fire method. This weapon is quite a bit more inacurate than the MP5 so your gonna have to stick to shorter burst and aim lower down the body to allow for the kick up. For really accurate shots just tap 1-2 rounds off to hit. If your target has body armour I suggest you run J/K :). Nah but you are gonna find it about 2-3 clips before you kill em unless you get a few head shots in!
This weapon is also good for slowing targets down due to the high ROF and the low damage so its good for protecting snipers and the like [but I would recomend the Benilie M3 instead].
In the end this is a good weapon if your strap for cash but by no means choose it if you can afford the MP5 or P90 cause its far too weak for you to do much in the way of damage maybe just alot of noise........ oh its silenced :) so nothing then.

This is the T's TMP but I prefer this lill thing to that silenced pice of junk :). Well this gun seems to be head shot seeking when I use it so I love it.
This gun should be treated the same as the TMP but this weapon is fare more powerfull I think :). I dont really know what to say except its a good gun and that it fires in much the same way as the TMP and MP5, so treat it like these weapons and you cant go far wrong.

Now this is propably the best SMG offered to us in Counter-strike. But it seems many people steer clear of this SMG due to its inaccuracy and I will have to agree for maps like as_tundra but on mainly CQB maps like cs_backalley then this weapon really comes into its own. This weapon has much more powerfull rounds than the MP5, TMP or MAC-10.
The firing of this weapon is the same as all the other SMG's BUT with this SMG your gonna have to fire even shorter burst as the inacuracy of this gun means that only fully auto can be used at very close ranges. The 50 round clip also makes this gun even more inviting for CQB because when all other SMG's run out this baby still has 20 rouns left thus giving you that extra advantage.
Close range
Left rip with this gun, if they were stupid enough to get close to you and this gun then you gotta kill em. Just hold the trigger and watch em pile up.
Med-long range
Okay its not really worth shooting this thing at long range I would try and get close to your target before shooting. But if you cant then just do 1-2 round burst's and then try to duck for cover, as they turn to see where the firing is coming from. Then repeate again and again till the enemy is dead or you are.

This used to be a BIG favourite amongst weapons while it still had it's scope on, but when they took it out in beta 6.5 it's a whole other "beef". First of all I'd like to say that I think of the colt as a less potent ak-47, sure you can put a silencer on that increases accuracy and of course SOUND, but it almost cuts the damage dealt by each bullet by half (!). That makes me go without the silencer most of the times, don't get me wrong, I like to have the option of a silencer, but I DO NOT like the idea that it cuts down so much on damage, hell I've even heard of silencers that IMPROVES both damage and accuracy of ANY gun! On with the show… It's a good "cover" weapon, if you work more of a team, or in groups of two or three, you can spray bullets as well as pin enemies down and let your teammates take them out. As always a high sound "signature" give you away more than anything, so It's up to the scene of the battle so to speak whether using silencer or not, whether drawing the attention of your enemies or not.

This the most powerful weapon in the game. Not only is this weapon extremly powerful its extremly loud so as a result your gonna put the fear of god into the enemy :).
Okay this weapon is highly powerful but is extremly slow ROF so try not to get too close with this weapon [/me reminising of beta 1 when this beauty was nearly fully auto :D]. I have covered most of what to say about this weapon in the sniping section. But what I will tell you is never get too close and always carrie a desert eagle or P228 with you and keep it ready for those close encounters of the MP5 kind :). This weapon isnt very well suited to close maps like cs_backalley and the like so dont use it on those sort of maps! Try to stay back and remain constantly covering team mates. Thats all I can really say so just go get em. Oh and this is my fave gun of all time [apart from the stery scout of course :)].

Around Beat 3-4 this weapon was one of my fav's but since then it seemed to get more inaccurate and suckier [that might just be me]. Well this weapon is a bit crappy to say the least but can have its moments if used correctly.
This weapon is a semi-auto sniper rifle, the high fire rate [compared to the other two sniper weapons] and larger clip allows you a bit more room for mistakes and misses [which you will make a lot of :)]. To properly use this weapon all you really need do is let rip on the mouse button, just click furiously and take em down. But make sure you are stationary as this weapon's accuracy when moving is ******* appalling and a waste of time. Here's a little trick that I learnt in NAM ;) when your runing/moving into another postion or just running and you come under fire then press the use key this will stop you dead instantly alowing you to return fire accuratly even crouch to give you that added accuracy.
With this weapon I always try to aim for the head as one shot will kill them usualy, try to avoid a snipe war with an enemy armed with a AWM as he will take you down no problem unless you get the drop on him and spot him before he spots you. But other than those points there isnt much to say about this weapon other than that its a rather expensive paper weight in most players opinions so be warned :).
